RE:RE:The MVC
Kazam1961 is pretty much right about most people won't run out of charge due to stupidity. However I witnessed something yesterday that gives hope for the charging trucks. They installed 2 new "Flo" Chargers at our local mall. Each has 2 charging cords. BUT one unit has 2 level 2 AC Chargers which take many hours to get a decent charge. The other unit had one Chademo ( unique to mostly Nissan) and 1 CC charging head ( which is what most every non- Tesla EV vehicle uses. So, in essence, 1 useable fast charger for a giant shopping mall. That charger had 1 car charging and 2 waiting. If I had needed a charge I would have waited at least an hour to start charging. These people had a plan and the infrastructure and traffic ruined their plan. DMEVS could do very well as the "savior" roving charging company and these people would have paid above the going rate just to get on with life. ( By the way someone mentioned the trucks charged at level 2. I'm pretty sure they charge at level 3 - so pretty fast in comparison). There is hope for success in circumstances like those existing at our local mall
