Personally I wouldn't buy a EV, longer distant winter driving is out of the question. I often have to drive north in the winter, seeing EV'S stopping to charge in the middle of no where, -30 weather isn't for me.
Hybrid is much more practical choice, unless you only plan for shorter commute.
