Enforcement

EnforcementNo home growing allowed is good for cannabis companies and shareholders.

Now that's out of the way, has anyone given any thought on how Quebec or other provinces might enforce it?

With the smart meters in place in most homes, hydro companies can tell what you've got plugged in and, when it turns on and off.

Will quebec hydro companies freely pony up info on their customers to law enforcement?
Will it be automatic with algorithms in place or will law enforcement need to ask for it?
What would be the catalyst in asking for that info?
Will they delve into peoples bank records looking for grow equipment purchases? If you've got an active "My Service Canada Account", you've already given them permission to get whatever they want from your bank..

Seems like the hydro companies would be forced to compile the data automatically and provide it automatically. How else would law enforcement know you were growing in your home? Door to door sniff test? Maybe they'll just go after people selling it? No, that's already a thing isn't it?

Should be an interesting news cycle out of Quebec this summer.
