I replied to my own postand the Stockhouse gremlins snatched it right off my 'puter, never to be found again.

So the shareprice of ACRG both classes is underwater to where I valued the shares at with the deal for Canopy to swap out their shares for the Acreage shares.

Clearly there is no premium left to do the deal and the pot market is abysmal to say the least and it isn't just Canopy and Acreage but pretty much everybody.

I guess there are enough frustrated investors that just don't believe in the deal, need their cash, or what is left of it and/or don't trust that STZ will instigate another re-visit to the deal, which they are famous for.

I believe that they should honour the deal that is on the table now but if I was a direct shareholder of STZ, I would probably applaud their deal but they are taking this dangerously low considering they are the major partner of Canopy.

I hope this gets crunched out where the ACRG shares get swapped for WEED/CGC shares and they don't try to convert them straight over to Canopy USA shares.

That new class of shares gives me concern, not only because there is another chance to finagle the numbers but the LLC that they are tacking on which to me suggests a private company where they become more unanswerable to shareholders.

I can only hope that they can bring their success to the new Canopy USA and shareholders that they have had with STZ.

This segment of the new vice needs serious rightsizing and that means that 95% have to dissappear because there is too much pot and too many players on board that are niching or looking for a quick buck, which isn't happening.

Getting rid of the black market in favour of value added and pharma players has to happen and the smokeables are giving way to the nicer forms of consumption.

Canopy is a tail to snout company with experience and market testing to verify what skus are profitable and that IP, IT and recipes and such are already branded and authorized for US shelves.

If only the politics of legalization would catch up and Federalize the rules for full support of the new, safer vice.

They need to get rid of that stupid rule of not being able to sell or consume pot with alcohol.

That is how stupid government is that they worry about protecting us from that experience and they let everybody in the US pack a gun.

Some idiot actually wants separte pot bars and lounges when there is already a satisfactory number of watering holes established that would welcome THC abd CBD infused beverages on to their offerings menu.

A beer and a toke have been going on in the bar parking lot, fo the pot part, for decades.  It's a thing!

I am not going to get heavily in to the healthier qualities of cannabinoid beverages other than to say that fat old North Americans could do with less alcohol, sugar and calories by changing to the new vice.

STZ/Canopy is well experienced with beverages from their Canadian days and have also zero'ed in on the other options that are more profitable than the smokeables.

The US has just legalized the groundwork for US domiciled companies to finally be able to transport cannabinoids for scientific study, hoping to come up with the next Charlotte's web which is a bonafide pharmaceutical option that made GWP shareholders very happy, despite them having to jump through the same hoops as Big Pharma.

Will 2024 be the year!?
