There are a few reasons for the share price dropping and the biggest one right now is confidence.
With no information or security from the good old USA as to wether or not they will be raising the dept ceiling the market is feeling very insecure as are a lot of us.

When the as predicted short term inflation after Covid lockdown didn't pan out and inflation being way higher and lasting longer, the good old delayed shipping setbacks previously, high borrowing costs, opeck deciding to keep oil prices inflated and the political climate not just in the states but around the world the whole market is volatile. < wow, great example of a run on sentence :). 

Hopefully things will settle down soon but I wouldn't bet on it.
