RE:RE:RE:RE:Fact and Fiction - Where is the world Going? Some very insightful comments Mr. Autofocus, thx for spending the time to share your thoughts the with the board. But just to put this thread to rest, i just want to add that i agree that in terms of Nuclear power gaining acceptance & growing, SMR's are the way forward. Their designs are much safer, easily maintained & less costly than the typical reactor built & that's been in use for the past 100 years. And way less of a chane of some meltdown like it occurred in Chernobyl, Five mile or the recent Fukushima incident, the last being solely the unfortunate result of mother nature & not human error or intervention.
I think when most of Europe finally realizes than Nuclear is the ONLY was forward for them, the new tech & sector will finally take off. It has already started to gain some minor ground in places like Sweden & Belgium, places which more or less dismissed outright in the past due ot ESG foolishness. The only ones smart enough to continue using this technology and not chuck it totally in the waste bin, as per usualy, were those savvy asians like the Japanese & Chinese. Most of North America & Europe fell victim to those dreadful & ill advised ESG mandates which clumped nuclear in with coal & fossil fuels.
