RE:Relevant? Interesting. My gut response was XTRA may not be the reason for this false alarm. With only $800k in revenues last quarter, it seems unlikely to me that TSLA has not only already installed Smart Gateways at its factories, but also is using XTRA technology to process security feeds from its massive factory floor and send out an email (really, an email?) based on the data. (Here is the email: “There is an Active Attacker near column location 35Z at the Giga Factory Texas. Please take cover and stand by for further details.”) I would think XTRA is still more focused on Smart Gateway implementation than this kind of value add technology. This said, it certainly can’t be ruled out. Musk seems like the kind of guy to jump forward while everyone else is weighing their options. FWIW I just wrote Investor Relations asking if Xtract One technology was involved in the incident.
