I don't see CVE going after Meg. There production is growing each year. There trying to get out of debt not take more on
- TRUE but you are in a NARROW-THINKING mode
- CVE has an AWESOME currency as it's disposal, namely; it's HIGHLY-REGARDED DIVIDEND-PAYING common shares
- if it was GOOD ENOUGH for a Chinese BILLIONAIRE TYCOON {an ALL SHARE/WARRANT buyout of Husky Energy} than it is GOOD ENOUGH for Eric Nuttall, CNOCC and al MEG Energy shareholders
- I would SAY that Cenovus Energy would ONLY have to PUT OUT ~ $ 3 BILLION in CASH (say $ 10 per share) and the rest would be in CVE shares {no more than 292 million CVE shares at today's prices}
- it is VERY DOABLE for Cenovus Energy but they are BIDDING THEIR TIME and would PREFER to WAIT into the future as they get the EXPENSIVE West White Rose offshore project / Pathways Alliance CAPEX out of the way
- I FIRMLY believe that CVE would NEVER PERMIT ITSELF to LOSE MEG ENERGY given the extremely valuable BITUMEN-RICH smart technically-sophisticated superior operator RIGHT ON IT'S DOORSTEP
- I REMIND you that CVE has a 17 kilometer pipeline system going through MEG leased lands to TIE-IN the UNDER-DEVELOPMENT Narrows Lake SAGD well pads with the CVE Chistina Lake STEAM GENERATION and OILl/WATER PROCESSING FACILITIES
