RE:merger monday...who's next???"Chevron to buy Hess for $53B"
Like i keep on saying & stressing, those Texan Ooilmen REALLY know what to do in the sector, to keep consolidating, to keep it competitive. But those goofy Canadians O&G Ceo are completely lost lost and still lag far behind by years. But eventually they will be forced into the same situation that the US producers are doing naturally, organically for the last 5 years.
"maybe a great time to make a move on CREW or even BIRCHCLIFF."
Crew was one of my Top 5 TO targets in the last 3 years. And it's one of the few remaining along with Nuvista which STILL hasn't been taken out. All the rest i predcited all got boughtout, eventually. Now, WHY is that? Is it an internal issue where the company doesn't want to sell or is asking too much OR is there somekind of ither issue we arent aware of? My guess it's a bit of everything. The company being a heavily weighted ng producer is already more than fully valued and i don't think anyone, including the most obivious suitor Arc, are willing to pay more than what they're worth.
Arc had many, and by many i MEAN many oppourtunities in the past to buyout Crew at more than better prices than we see today. But it never materialized, to my surprise lol. And i think a big part of that has to do with Crew's owners & mgmt not willing to sell or asking waaayy too much. Birchcliff on the other hand, at it's current prices is a sitting duck ....and with the "former" stubborn CEO now gone, makes a M&A more likely......
But ARC isn't the IDEAL suitor for Birch, IF Canadian UnNatural doesn't get to them first, a merger with either Kelt or Advantage would be a more natural fit AND better for poor Birch s/h.....
Just more of my 2 cents worth......
