RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:(TSX.V: TMG) Update with CEO Bill CrosslandI noticed that too, but to be honest, that may have been a bit of a joke. It was in relation to the question whether they were thinking about a reverse split because of OS share float. I liked his answer and agreed with it that there is no evidence that the reverse brings any value. If anything, a reverse with microcaps is not a good thing from the ones I've had in the past, even though it is a bit of an artificial exercise when it happens (different float, adjusted share price for the float adjustment should equal the same market cap).
I think he took it in the sense that a reverse would result in an (artificially) higher SP that shareholders would like to see. And that is when he made that comment making it sound like if you are concerned about the low SP, better days are coming and the higher SP may alleviate your desire for a higher SP through a reverse.
I am good with half a buck sometimes within a year based on a great sales flow. But, if that was not a joke, I am good with a buck too!
160 million shares is not huge. Someone suggesting a 1:5 reverse split I think would result in a smaller float that bigger players would not be interested in participating. So, there are pros and cons to a small float as well but IMO nothing excessive with the current number of shares. If I were to do one, I would do it if there was an equity financing contemplated to raise money to accelerate growth and would not go beyond 1:2.
But, with the sounds of the things that are coming, I don't think anyone will be thinking about reverses at that point but pay attention what is happening.
