The Silvertip Mine is a major zinc-lead-silver project that is owned by Coeur Mining Inc. and is located just south of the Yukon border. Coeur suspended mining and processing activities at Silvertip in early 2020 and has since commenced evaluation of a larger potential expansion and restart of the project. The Huckleberry Mine is an open-pit copper mine that is owned by Huckleberry Mines Ltd., a subsidiary of Imperial Metals Corporation, and is located near the town of Houston. Huckleberry operations ceased in August 2016 and the mine remains on care and maintenance status. Site personnel continue to focus on exploration, water management, snow removal, maintenance of site infrastructure and equipment, mine permit compliance, and environmental compliance monitoring. 2.4 Precious Metals Mines Included in the Study There were five new precious metals mines included in the study.
