RE:Debt and Recessions/Depressions"My question for Nukester is - Where would you move to in order to escape?"
Experienced,
I do not have a one size fits all answer.
Some problems cannot be solved by changing jurisdictions.
Full disclosure: I am a U.S. citizen, I am not leaving my country.
I am sticking around to see how this movie ends, keeping the bravado to a minimum, trust me when I say I will not go quietly into some marxist utopia.
Now to answer your question as best I can:
Canadians with the financial means can try relocating to countries like Panama. You will solve some problems, but not all. In the process you will have abandoned Canada to the Marxist / globalist cabal. No easy choices here.
As far as investments, physical gold obviously comes to mind, but once again no easy choices. BitCoin - ditto. Any solution we can devise can be thwarted by government or thieves, at some point.
Maybe an "All of the above" approach.
Invest in real wealth.
Land, housing, gold, commodities.
On a smaller scale, slowly and lawfully, remove wealth from the visible economic system. I am not talking dodging taxes, I am saying think in terms owning items that are not visible on a google search of your name.
Sorry to be so vague, the truth is I have no easy answers. The most important thing is to understand we have serious issues to contend with.
if I liquidate my Canadian investments, those funds will come back to the U.S. until such time as I can resolve the issues discussed above.
Bottom line, no easy answers, no safe place to hide, similar problems down here in my case.
Cheers,
Nukester
