Shorting the company

Shorting the companyAre we shorting it to be able to buy the company for pennies, or just naked shorts but naked shorts have to buy back in order to get out I believe??
In any case I know everything is allowed in the Canadian markets, not for the retailer though! Try a cross trade and you will receive a phone call within 5 min.  :)
