RE:I'll repeat ...All gold miners are rentals...Well said.
Back in 2021 I made a really good buck on early exploration-stage NFG in a very short period of time. They were producing some outstanding assay results on their Queensway property, so I bought a boatload of shares at 4.50 sensing there was more where those came from. The big assay hits continued, in multiple zones no less, and the share price shot up. I sold half at 9.00 and the other half at just over 12.00, all in a matter of a couple of months. NFG closed Friday at 4.59.
Getting in then getting out when you've made your money is key in the microcap mining company sector. The timeframe is even shorter when you play Stage 1 Exploration stocks like NFG to try and catch the ride up, then get out as when you realize that the assay results aren't going to get any better and the share price won't move up much more even if there's more of the same as all that good news is already baked into the share price and expectations re. future assays are far too high and screaming the stock is very likely to drop - a lot.
That said, I doubt I'll invest in Stage 1 companies anymore as the risk is far greater than companies with great numbers that are in the home stretch of the financing and contracting stage of their first mine build with final permitting looking good re. approval.
