RE:Thinking of buying an EV?I know I’m beating my mantra of clean air to death but if EV as I understand its principle is all about the environment, carbon footprints etc. with 16MT plus of Lithium on hand to be DLE from brine with little harm. Why would hard rock mining be even looked at, well alone given billions of dollars, like in N. Quebec.
‘Mining companies use energy-intensive trucks, crushers, and mills to extract each battery’s nickel, cobalt, lithium, and copper. The manufacturing process consumes vast amounts of energy as well. Many analysts eagerly tout the carbon savings from displaced fossil fuels without adequately accounting for the battery’s increased energy consumption. Once these adjustments are made, most, if not all, of the EV’s carbon advantage disappears.’
I guess my question is Why would E3 not be the leading Canadian Lithium Provider of the future.
