The text ...........-->Another Re-Fuel project is now live – another concrete step to help us achieve our Danone Impact Journey nature commitments!

The installation of a new heat recovery system at our Haps Specialized Nutrition site in the Netherlands will enable a 7% energy reduction.

The system recovers heat from exhaust gas, which would otherwise be lost.

The project is part of Danone’s Re-Fuel energy efficiency and decarbonisation program to improve #energyefficiency by 30% by 2025.

The roll-out follows the successful implementation of the same technology at our Macroom site in Ireland.

Energy consumption there has already been reduced by 12%.

Now other key factories in Indonesia, New Zealand, Germany, and Poland are reviewing the technology and how it can contribute to reducing our scope 1 & 2 emissions by 47.2% by 2030.

This is in line with the Danone Impact Journey framework and our evidence-based 1.5C° target.

Thanks to our partnership with Thermal Energy International, and the global and local teams working together to continue to reduce the environmental impact of our #supplychainDonal Dennehy Adam Kocsis Sijmon Hage @Mark Willemsen Paul Kennedy
