Markets could see $100 silver - Hecla Mining CEO Phillips Baker

This Kitco interview IMO was really tough but did bring up a lot of pro and con comments as to the value of silver and future pricing. IMO Mr Baker faces a tough row as I would bet if silver approaches 100 silver will be replaced for industrial for sure.  To the point though Mr Baker did admit that silver needs to increase to be profitable and there was a diverange in interview as to how much the planet needs.  I can't speak to GC or LF but I would bet in the case of KH it needs an increase in tonnage, mill capacity and price, we'll see.  Now there is still the remediation/environmental remidian contract which my understanding is tha tit is now open ended and changed from the original AXU contract.  That should off set some of the cost of the increase in diesel.

I do follow
Coeurs-Silvertip just because it's so close to the Yukon...  But trying get a mine started in BC is onerous, beleive it or not AXU KH camp was easy in comparison as I remember the Geddes Resources Windy Craggy play (dry camp, fly in and stay in for 3/4 year.) .  Years of exploratory drilling that eventally got closed by a BC Gov mandate.  All that's left now is the bulldozed runway and a portal on the Windy Craggy at the end of Tas glacier.  I think Windy Craggy burned through 120m in 87 $. LOL  But hey it's now a national park for rock ptarmigan.

Sorry back to the interview.
