RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Dedication to EndzoneHow embarassing! I've suggested a number of times that before you post what ever tid bit of misinformation you have on your mind you should have completed more research including calling that number. Please put in a little more effort in the future.
Economic development departments have a greater role to play than those provincial politicians you focus on. They play a significant role when a large-scale new mining deposit is in the early stages of starting up. There are a myriad of responsibilities.
they act as local champions and focus on the best economic development opportunities. If they are talking about mid to small scale business ventures you know that that there is a lack of larger scale opportunities on the go. They start early before the general public even has awareness. You will need them involved with the government coordination for necessary support. If they are not involved this leads me to believe that the Ford government are merely acting as go betweens publicly encouraging investment from the private sector. Read up on private sector investments with anything related to government and come back to me if you still have optimism.
Your leader publicly advised Timmins to get reacy for CNC. How did they respond? Not a mention anywhere in public committee meetings and council meetings. you insist this is going to be big which means that this will require investments in a number of areas to deal with the influx of workers and to also attract enough workers. Usually this is not only about investments in transit but goes beyond that to arts and culture and other things you don't normally associate with mining as you need to attract workers. Refer to the Alberta experience on this one.
All we have is CNC telling us of some breakthrough technology that will make this low grade deposit viable. If this involves innovation economic development will need to be involved as they are the gateway and convenor of universities and chambers of commerce to support innovation. We know little about this innovation and if it involves other things to be in place externally economic development needs to be involved
And what everyone here has missed is that economic development are essential to create cluster strategies. Amazing no one mentions cluster strategies. Maybe because they know that the interest is solely with Ring of Fire despite all the perceived road blocks by the ultra bulls. Again this will strengthen the compeitiveness of Timmins to attract investment vs other areas. but to do this you need coordination across governments, private sector, universities and other organizations. Economic develop has this role not some high level Minister in the Ford government. Yet no activity.
Economic development in Timmins understands how the customization needed for their community not some employee in the Ford government.

If you have any questions, please contact the Clerk’s Department at (705) 360-2613.
And why would Cnc be in the minutes anyway? Local permit application? Roads construction plans? Moving their office to Timmins and requesting approvals?
I just can't see why they would be in the minutes. You? Lol
