"You totally lack any financial sense on how to use your TFSA and RRSP accounts to take advantage of what they can do for you."

???

Projection - that is your problem.  You imagine everyone is in a situation similar to yours.

As you know my wife and I are in our late 70's.  As such RRSP is a tool no longer available.  TFSA have been maxed every year and we have made the maximum contribution of $95,000 over the years.  And we use that tool to minimize taxes by shielding income that would be otherwise taxable (REITs, interest income, etc...)

So all we can do is manage our investment accounts to minimize taxes.  Canadian "eligible" dividend attract less taxes than capital gain or interest.

On the other hand based on what I have read from you in the last year I do not expect you to understand.

You think like a trader (quick buck) dreaming of the BIG score (redemption at par) and have no respect for diversification.
