RE:Can BBD benefit from the AI boom?

RE:Can BBD benefit from the AI boom?Depends.  Just like all the aircraft parts, process and tools need to be validated and certified, so does computer software that will be used on it.  This includes cockpit software, software used by maintaince and any software or AI used for assembly.

So yes, AI can be used but that programing, process and equipment will need to be certified.  However it is very costly adventure.

Certification cost money and sometimes the return is not worth it.  This is why we see much more automation in automotive than aviation.  Automotive can break even on high volume then aviation.
