RE:RE:RE:RE:So it's Friday and I'm watching the sunOr it would of paid for 10 nice pickups for the crew. :) Now it pays for one in the driveway. ;)
Everyone was well aware that natural "pollution" was also curring so remediation wasn't really high on the list. In fact times were just different.
That said I do beleive that mining has become more able to deal with the remediation in an ongoing basis. Remediation is now in the forefront rather than a tail end afterthought of the mine. It akes more sense to have the old workings remediated on an ongoing as part of operating a new or old mine. I guess I don't see the whole picture regards Montana's bad actor law as it just seems to be companies will just refuse to do business.
I'm not against mining, certainly not Keno Hill. AXU while they cost a lot of SH's $ they did pick up the remediation contract and It now apears HL is doing the same.
The stumbling block is that it would be nice if HL showed a profit and I beleive that needs to occur sooner rather than later. :)
And always remember to have some fun.
