Probability Based Decision to use 3D Seismics at QWN

Probability Based Decision to use 3D Seismics at QWN

The decision to employ 3D Seismics to guide deep step out drilling of QWN was obviously based on extensive and comprehensive research .

Seismics would not have proceeded with an expected success probability of just 50% .
In my view, it was much higher than 50% .

The main reasons are obvious.

1..Orogenic gold systems are known to go deep and even beyond 2.5 km which is the depth limit of the QWN Seismics survey. ....The many deep gold mines in the Abitibi and Red Lake region are almost all orogenic.

Just 150 km from QWN, Marathon test drilled its Vakentine Lake orogenic deposit to 1000 m and found gold continuity .

My research of orogenics would suggest that greater than 80% of them contain economic  gold at depths of 1000 m or more.

2..The comparison of QWN to the World class Fosterville orogenic mines provided management with a sense of potential depth of mineralization .

Fosterville gold resources have now been defined to depths exceeding 2000 m.

3..Success rates of 3D Seismics for Orogenic gold deposits .

Excellent examples are available including its successes at Fosterville

4..a massive drilling database of multiple major shallow discoveries at QWN including well defined host structures containing a significant number of large vein and host structures whose acoustic signatures would be conduicive to enhanced paired ( physical cores versus acoustic signatures ) host structure  calibration models capable of predicting statistically high drilling success at greater depths .

Taken together, the aggregate probability of seismically guided step out drilling at depths below the currently drill defined gold discoveries at QW being successful were  very high .

And the recent deep drilling report confirms that success has been achieved in finding host structures
that are known to contain gold at the shallower depths used to calibrate the seismic - core prediction  model.

Its also serendipitously possible that one or more of the step outs have encountered a major  vein system enroute to TD.

For these reasons , I am bullishly confident that Queensway , like its many orogenic siblings, has the goods down to great depths .,
