Newfound Gold (NFG) is drilling 12 deep holes.  Results from these 12 holes will be instructive for Sokoman given the province wide faulting structures across Newfoundland. Those faulting structures have already shown the prevelance of shallow gold bearing gold deposit strung out along the faults.

Here is what Nozzpack posted on NFG's bulletin board today:

https://stockhouse.com/companies/bullboard/v.nfg/new-found-gold-corp?postid=36106650

These 12 holes are guided by Seismics calibrated with shallow  cores and other structural indices such as  geomagnectics.

Their goal is to successfully intersect structures known to be gold bearing from alll accrued data and their analyses.

But, what might be their success in intersecting gold within those targeted structures ?

In a former post, involving analyses of over 300,000 meters of QW cores through the 5 high grade zones being tested, the success rate of intersecting economic gold was 3.5%. ( 1 chance in 33 )

12 holes to depths in excess of 1200 m have now been drillled to test/ locate structures known to be gold bearing.
In total, close to 11000 meters combined.

Based on over 300,000 meters of QW cores, only about 350 meters or so would be expected to be gold bearing.( 1 meter in 33 ).

That's a very low probability of actually intersecting economic gold.

However, the deep drilling program is multi phased , the initial primary objective being locating known gold bearing structures.

The actual gold discovery will be tested and made by the Devico sidetrack drilling of successfully intersecting  known gold bearing structures.

First Deep hole assays will begin to be released at some point before mid July.

I will be looking first to see the structural success ( number of gold bearing zones discovered  )  , but focussed on the number of meters of actual gold intersections relative to the 3.5% economic success rate experienced in the shallow topside zones.

It should be an exciting summer as we watch initially the drilling results of the 12 deep holes and then the drilling success of the Devico sidetrack holes.
