Artis Real Estate Investment Trust is an unincorporated closed-end REIT based in Canada. Artis REIT's portfolio comprises properties located in Central and Western Canada and select markets throughout the United States, including regions such as Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, and Wisconsin. The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. The industrial properties account for most of the portfolio, followed by the office properties and the retail properties.

You guys are wild. $750M of dispositions and counting. Cap table has been completely reconfigured to put Artis in a position where Samir can play offense. Offense to me looks like a SIB to completely take out the prefs at a 15-20% discount to face value.

least we not forget... there is still just under a $billion of industrial assets in Artis, and Samir has explicitly said selling industrial is the focus (see Q1 earnings PR). This is by far the most interesting REIT in large part due to Samir's active management style. Not sure what show you guys are watching...
