A quick review of those published results shows that acoustic impedance is highly specific to structures according to their density.
This means of course that there is a high probability that those 12 deep drills were very well positioned to intersect high density structures such as granite that are known to be gold bearing generally in orogenics and specifically in the top 350 meters of QWN where pairing of Seismics with cores have high correlation statistics.
Further as depth drilled increases , the Geo statistic guidance becomes even more precise.
In summary, compared to simple deep drilling guided only by an inferred geological model, acoustic guided drilling is much more efficient .
Yet, such conventional drilling has been successful in finding the deep hydrothermal lodes for all of the orogenic gold mines in Canada , three of which are mining gold below 2.5 km.
