EXACTLY AS YOU SAID " the Shorts do what ever the want, when ever they want."

THEY DROP THE PRICE spread fear and collect shares at discount from new investores and stop loss....
when the reach certain quantity, the increase the price slowly to bring buyers by promoting greed, then keep increasing the price till they sell all what they bouht at discount
then continue to increase the price and sell shares SHORT at high price, then drop the price .....and start to buy shares at discout to close the short position

the market is their play ground
again as you said ", the Shorts do what ever the want, when ever they want."
