Wine consumers and their behaviour is becoming increasingly sophisticated so that it now includes explorations of personality, levels of involvement and the milieu of motivations for purchasing wine. Unfortunately, however, much of this research is still not filtering down to those that need it the most – the wineries themselves and investors.

There is a lack of urgency and focus at Peller over the last 3 years.  The company is not in great financial shape.  They are not investing enough in their Ontario properties.  They need to cut the dividend.  They need to think about themselves as a hospitality company that serves alcoholic beverages.
