As i recall, when he left GPR.TO it was in good shape and it was actually the next guy Ballantyne (sp?) who drove the company into the ground with an ill-fated deal in Brazil.

While the previous NRG deal didn't exactly work out, GPR was a success under Bob according to most investors

Here i checked for you, Aug 2017.
share price for GPR back then would have been $12 share plus on NYSE and easily over $80M in cash and likely a market cap of $400M+. Not exactly a failure.

DYODD , lots of bad management in this smallcaps but this guy is one of the better ones IMO
