RE:Bernard clearly states sp will come in like a TsunamiAnd a great synopsis of the interview, thanks to @ordos for this:
@ordos My notes on the latest interview:
- We are still above 90% capacity retention at 300 cycles
- We are delivering 20% more power at 300 cycles than the best comparable NEW batteries out there in the 18650 form factor that is used a lot
- Gen3 no longer drops off at 150-200 cycles, it smoothly continues the gradual capacity decrease trend
- When these results at 300 cycles were / are shown to battery industry technical experts, they get very excited and promote HPQ Silicon to the executives at their respective companies, who then talk to HPQ Silicon
- Other companies in the space producing / enhancing 18650 batteries don't talk about their results above 200 cycles. There is no one out there who is as transparent with results as HPQ Silicon / Novacium are
- These results at 300 cycles give a whole different level of credibility that HPQ Silicon / Novacium team known exactly what they are doing
- The reference graphite battery was created by Novacium themselves, which barely loses energy capacity at all. So the reference was made tougher to beat in terms of degradation on purpose, to set the bar higher to compare against
- Graphite industry participants are actually surprised by the performance of Novacium's pure graphite reference battery, which is another testament that Novacium team is really good at what they do
- This is the equivalent of a moment when Evonik said "your pictures of fumed silica look great"
- We started to do this in January, 2024 and we are already at generation 3 of the material in October
- We are not even showing the best results, we are showing the average of 3 batteries
- We are beyond initial conversations, we are in pre-LOI discussions. For graphite producers they are even excited about the pure graphite anode battery that Novacium made as reference
- The sizes of interested parties in discussion range from startups to multi-billion dollar entities
- We chose the most restrictive form factor for batteries, cylindrical. Results for pouches (i.e. smartphones use pouch form factor) will be much better. We put ourselves in the most difficult conditions and we get these outstanding results. Competitors brag about pouch form factor results
- In theory we think that when the material is fully optimized, these results will look like "baby steps"
- We are not trying to say that when our material is fully optimized it will be so great, but we are already showing that we already have something that's better than anything out there
- We are going to go to fully optimized, but we still have a lot to learn from the intermediate steps
- Currently SiOx (generally, not HPQ Silicon specifically) is made in batches, quartz + 3-4N Si, which is hard to scale. The patent for continuous production addresses this and allows to scale to commercial rate of production of SiOx
- We can triple productivity using the new being patented process, and reduce energy consumption and emissions simultaneously - We will be different from everyone else in the industry by being fully vertically integrated. The only input that would be needed is the quartz rock (QIMC supplied). Massive advantage
- Bernard is in discussions with European industrial groups that want this integrated within their industrial complexes
- All this is no reflected in the share price, but it will come as a "tsunami" at a certain point - We haven't even started talking about hydrogen (grid independent hydrogen generator), which is also coming Trader001 wrote: HPQ is really advancing amazingly.
Bernard clearly stated:
That this invention/concent that is applied for patents is sufficiently game changing enough that they are one of only few companies that asked to submit a full application for government grants.
In discussions with industry groups in Europe that want to integrate this in their industry process because they see the long term future and see the potential .
Sorry to my investors that this does not seem to reflect in the share price but it will .It will come in like a Tsumani at some . When - I don't know but it will. I can only focus on deliverying what we are doing. Deliverying on pilot plant fumed silica and sending out samples, deiverying on batterial materials and havent even started talking about hydrogen.
I have never been so excited to be invested in HPQ
