Sentiment: Positive
Our view. This week marked a series of key announcements that were released during NBAA. We view the announcement that Global 8000 production has kicked off as a key positive, reflecting the company's ability to produce an industry-leading derivative aircraft off its already top-tier Global 7500 aircraft. In our view, leading the business jet market in performance and range will continue to support demand and allow the company to reach its 2025 and long-term targets. In Defense, Bombardier announced that the PEGASUS aircraft had completed its first flight out of the company's facility in Wichita, Kansas. Key is the successful test represents a milestone for the first of three modified Global 6000 aircraft to be delivered to the German Air Force. We grow increasingly confident in the company's ability to grow the defense segment post-2025, and see further tailwinds from the global platform due to its applicability for mission use supported by higher defence spending by NATO countries. Finally, we see the adoption of Challenger 300/350 jets by Wheels Up as a testament to the super-midsize platform and as a tailwind for Services and CPO growth post-2025, given the higher utilization rates of fleet operators (see our note here).
