High Bridge Wind, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northland Power Inc., has submitted an Application for Article 10 of the Public Service Law to construct a 100 MW wind facility in the town of Guilford, located in Chenango County, New York. The project's former owner, Calpine, has transferred this process to Northland mid-process.

All New York State projects must follow the Article 10 Siting Process prior to construction and operation. High Bridge Wind submitted its application on August 12, 2019. The process required upfront funds of $100,800, to be given to municipalities and local parties to reduce expenses incurred during the process; 50% of these funds went to municipalities. These funds were awarded on October 29, 2019. An application supplement was submitted on January 17, 2020. Our application was deemed complete on March 16, 2020.

High Bridge is now pursuing the formal hearings and adjudication phase of the Article 10 process. We expect to have a date for the public statement hearing soon. More information on Article 10 can be found on the New York Department of Public Service's website.

Alfred Oaks Solar, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northland Power, Inc., is a proposed 100 MW Solar facility with 20 MW BESS (Battery Storage) potential in the town of Alfred, Allegany County, New York. Northland is in the process of conducting pre-application studies, including habitat and wildlife studies, survey, and wetlands delineations. The project (study) area encompasses approximately 1,200 acres, and the facility area is expected to cover a portion of that, including panels, roads, inverter, and interconnection substation area.
The project has been in development since 2020, and will be permitted through the NY State Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES). The permit process brings together multiple agency reviews, including NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, The US Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife, and NY State Historical Preservation Office. This review is expected to take slightly more than a year from the time of application, with a commercial operations date projected for late 2024.

Operating fcilities are Bluestone in New York State (112 MW) and Ball Hill (108 MW) also in New york State.
