Firming up

Firming upLooking over trading stats for this past week, one thing becomes crystal clear: Canaccord has taken an interest in the company and is intent on driving away the shorters who have plagued OEL this past year or so. Slowly, CC is moving up the bid. At Friday's close there were 50,000 shares on the bid at $1.35 and above from CC alone, up from a $1.30 base last week. It'll be interesting to see whether they are content to hold around this level as we await positive news or whether they will continue, gradually, almost imperceptively, to raise the ante. Either way, we as shareholders are currently in good hands. One has to think that increased Louisiana production will inevitably boost the share price, quite aside from the possible bonanza that awaits us in Alberta. We do need to wait for these developments, however.
