It's too dangerous to short Win at these prices. Some company could come and make an offer for Win at $2.50 or some price north of $2. That would be a huge premium to today's prices, and WIN would have to fulfill its fudiary duties and likely accept the offer. It would be very difficult to turn down the offer, watch the price drop even more, and then get sued.
Stocks at these levels are very volatile. It would be easy for some well heeled investor to do a short squeeze as well. So shorting is unlikely the answer to WINs price.
If people are bailing, they are bailing because they either lack confidence in WIN or lack confidence in the market or both.
The easy shorting days are over.
