Future ATI Graphics Chip Plays Key Role in InMARKHAM, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 5, 2002--ATI's next generation graphics was selected to be part of an Intel® Xeon(TM) workstation platform technology demonstration at Computex featuring the newly specified Accelerated Graphics Port 8x interface (AGP8x) designed to double the graphics processing bandwidth over today's current AGP4x.
ATI's as-yet-unannounced graphics chip offers advanced, high-performance graphics power for workstations. As a validation partner for AGP8x, ATI's chip is the first to be demonstrated on Intel's future workstation platform based on the Intel Xeon processor family.
