RE: $20 HERE WE COME!!!There is no question NVDA is the "darling" of the NAZ. Or was at least last year. Think was the number one performer for the year. If anyone really follows NVDA they would also know that NVDA is heavily day traded as well because of its high volatility and liquidity. It is also a huge MOMO player as you can see from recent run-up.
Their is also the very real situation where ATI is on the wrong side of the border. Lets face it!! Americans are very patriotic. They will support their home businesses anyday. NVDA still has lots of hype behind it as well because of its relationship with M$, apple (anyone remember the big show with apple and nvidia?) In "hardcore" computer forums you still see people bashing ATI as much as they can while praising NVDA. I even hear canadians bashing ATI while they should be supporting ATI ( but i guess that is one of the main differences b/w the two?)
Anyone notice that while nvda was on top with technology it was all about them having the more powerful product but with ATI is now on
top it is all about PAST financial statements and value investing??
Remember now that all the analysts and "experts" are pumping the next NVDA product release as well! You read any of the "commentary" or "reviews"? They all finish with but "...wait until nvda releases their next generation GPU..." or my favorite at tomshardware..."the pretender to the throne". Of course we all know who is paying tom's paycheck with NVDA and AMD ads blasted all over the site.
Well their is my rant. Anyone who says " don't fall in love with a stock " can bite me! That is part of the problem here! At least the guys running ATI don't have the apathy that some canadians do.
