RE: Bob McWhirter

RE: Bob McWhirterThere are many things I like about Bob's style which has some similarities to my own. I have gotten a few good stock picking ideas from watching him on Robtv or looking over his top 10...which changes frequently. If you try to make investment decisions solely on what he is doing you will have a hard time. He is a frequent trader and his top ten changes like the weather. He is relatively new to this fund after putting in his time for a big bank managing much larger money. The assets of this fund are still tiny but growing quickly. He is actively trading based on earnings, earnings revisions & TA. His returns have been good & he is trying to attract more investors to his fund by getting good returns & appearing on Robtv. It was entertaining watching him promote his fund last night against Howard Green's wishes. There are not too many of us who could invest like he currently does for he has the resources behind him to follow the ever changing landscape & act upon that. So don't get too hung up on his moves of the day as things are changing all the time in the investment world. He stated he likes RUT but he would prefer to be on the sidelines at this time for reasons that have been reflected on this board many times. However do not put too much emphasis on any one person's opinions of the day....for they may change quickly without your knowledge. Cheers!!!
