Government negotiationsIf a major steals the mine from NSU, I would say that's worth a lawsuit by NSU against the major, if only to bring attention to the event to the media, public, govenments etc. Depending on who the major is, the bad publicity might be too much for it if there is a concerted effort by NSU and shareholders to push the issue via Canadian government, etc.
If the other player is a private company based in a third-world country, then likely there would be no recourse via the company, but western governments could apply some pressure to Eritrea on other trade or aid matters, etc. Best case scenario is govt gets more $, and NSU is allowed to go ahead; stock price would reflect slight loss of shareholder value, and a risk discount always overhanding the stock.
