RE: check out the BID!!!! lol ...eomOk, I'll admit it, I did that 100 share trade yesterday(Monday). I was actually in the process of posting this when I was interrupted and didn't come back to the post later.
There was 2000 at the ask at 1.38, so I put in a market order, again, just to be sure that there were not any cheap tricks going on, e.g. getting fills at the bid instead of the lowest ask.
I haven't had any like this since I complained on this board and wrote to IVW about these types of trades.
Anyway, my 100 knocked the outstanding lowest ask amount down to 1900 shares, right? And that was the last trade of the day, so the market order made the close at 1.38, vs. the 1.35 bid price.
Mystery solved. Oh, and I used IB, so I don't know why they put Anonymous on the trade, but I see that all the time, on IVW and other issues, go figure.
Even though I am upset about the naked shorting of IVW, apparently management is not. No replies to my emails inquiring about this.
Guess it's just not a big deal to them that their shareholders are being run around by illegal shorters with phantom shares.
Or maybe they just figure they can't do anything about it anyway, but they could, simply by delisting with the US for the OTC/BB listing anyway. It really doesn't trade much and the fills in the US suck with those market makers, I can tell you this from experience, having traded both TSX and OTC/BB on this issue.
Any firm that is on the naked short list needs to take a pro-active stance to clean this up, IMHO. If management chooses to hide from this reality, I will consider alternatives. I have to have faith that management is looking out for shareholders.
