Impressions of the Westport Open HouseTo the Westport Investors:
Well I took half a day off and went to the Westport Open House. My first impressions were good. The staff (and there were many)were generally very friendly and helpful. The engineers working on the front lines appeared to be ambitious and keen. I noticed an interesting mix of suits (likely lawyers, brokers etc) and technical staff (engineers etc). It was quite amusing to watch the suits mix with the techies. It was kinda like how water and oil mix. The suits didn't really understand how the technology worked (one could tell by the blank looks in their faces), but they were first in line for the drinks. ahhah
Anyways, joking aside, I think the engineers at Westport have a promising future with their determination, energy and commitment to advancing the Westport Technology. I also noticed that some of the engineers I spoke with were previous employees of Ballard. What an interesting mix.
Could these guys rival Ballard in competing technology hmm, it is possible? As one employee told me, unlike other companies he has worked for in the past, Westport seems to be doing everything right the first time. I hope so, 1/2 of my portfolio is invested with Westport.
Oh one more item. Sarah Greenwood (IR person) was helpful and goodlooking as well! Bonus
Go Westport go!
Happy Investing all.
