Privileged information Mitec Telecom denies the behaviour of an investigation by the MFA Put in line 28/07/2005 09h02 Mise up to date 28/07/2005 15h52 Photos.com Mitec Telecom (MTM) reacted at the end of the day at the news published this morning, wanting that the Authority of the financial markets would have opened an investigation into the montréalaise présumément to have revealed privileged information. The company affirms not to be solicited by the MFA and does not know about the behaviour of the investigation. Mitec "will ensure the MFA of its full and whole co-operation if that were to be the case", according to an official statement emitted by the company. The Newspaper of Montreal pays to have learned from two reliable sources that an investigation had been open on the company montréalaise. The Authority of the financial markets refuses however to confirm the behaviour of this investigation, in accordance with its payments. According to the Newspaper, a complaint was placed with the Authority of the financial markets following privileged information which was revealed with an investor who had contacted the service of the public relations of the company. Pierre Hénault, who holds thousands of actions of the company, had contacted Mitec in order to know if the company were to pay a penalty if a letter of intent of 50 M$ announced in March were not concretized. With its great surprise, the service of the public relations had indicated to him that the contract was signed. However, two months later, Mitec still did not make a public statement about the contract. Recently, president de Mitec, Rajiv Panhol, resigned of his station for reasons which were not revealed.
