RE:RE:RE:AC becoming a monopoly Not sure why you brought up Southwest. The Op of this thread mentioned AC's competitors canceling routes. I just brought up a reason as to why they have canceled routes. I also pointed out that AC doesn't have THAT problem. But if the Americans opened up their border to skilled pilots then AC could have the same problem as WJ and Sunwing.
I don't know how Southwest treats their pilots, but they do pay nearly double what any 737 pilot can make in Canada. FWIW.
