Greenhouse Gas

Let's remind AXI investors of Gingerich's previous energy plan: use excess heat from the nugget processing plant  to heat industrial parks and greenhouses. This was all in the investor presentation.

*

This latest alternative energy plan for Roche Bay, as Gingerich revealed in his testimony to Parliament, will be LNG power barges. Before being too taken in by this cockamamie plan let's remember the facts:

*

Number of mines in the world powered by LNG: 1 (Sunrise Dam in Australia)

Number of mines in the world powered by LNG barge: Zero

Number of LNG power barges in the world: Less than 5.

Current energy use in Nunavut by business and residents: 100% arctic diesel.

*

Maybe someone will figure out how to harness LNG power barges to power mines. It's a complicated process with a lot of parts including: a floating power plant, a re-gasification terminal, and a liquification terminal (there are currently no liquification terminals in Canada or the US, the closest one seems to be in Trinidad and Tobago). But the solution is certainly not coming from John "Greenhouse" Gingerich. That's for sure.

*

The last couple of press releases have let the cat out of the bag. The economics of the DFS are not looking good, therefore the hasty plan to quadruple the production rate and commission a ludicrous alternative energy plan. If the numbers were good then why delay the DFS? Is a delayed feasibility study ever a good sign? Buyers beware.

Wow...hundredvanities...very creative greenandgold... Does it make a difference where the solution is coming from?  Whether it's John, one of his board members, the engineers....maybe XDIP themselves?  In this case, delaying the FS is a very good sign.  Go back and read the press release as to why it's delayed....if you have a copy of the FS please share since you think the ...more

HundredVanities = GreenandGold  I have still not figured out what motivates G&G to bash this stock so frequently and with so much hate for the stock.  If I was bitter with a stock I just don't think I could be bothered to put so much energy into trashing it for everyone else.

This is an individual who obviousely has had a very negative past experience with AXI or specific individuals of the managment team.  It might stem back from a past relationship.  Remember many of the board members and management team have worked for numerous companies.  Maybe one of them called Greenandwhatever stinky one day during lunch and he's never been able to forgive ...more

Notice how nobody can dispute any of the facts in the original post. It's all personal attacks, which are really besides the point. Are there any mines powered by LNG barges? Of course not. Therefore AXI's energy plan is based on unproven technology. Does anybody in AXI management have any experience with power barges, re-gasification, or LNG? Of course not. * Therefore it's reasonable ...more
