Meeting at Hall Beach

There was about 60 people in attendance at the meeting last night with members of AXi staff.Bernie I'm cant remember his last name chaired the meeting. It was a very informative meeting with lots of questions from the people. It seems the people are behind this project. It seems 2013 is going to be a big year for this company they plan on doing more drilling, they plan on doing a environmental assessment and they plan on having the financing in place as well in 2013.He said the Roche Bay mine has a 20 to 30 year life span.He talked about Tuktu and said that the ore is high grade and they will process it at Tuktu to concentrate. They plan on construction of the mine in 2016 and first shipment of ore 2017.He had a sample of the ore from Roch Bay and said it was 66% pure.I did notice when he was talking about financing he did say from China and in Canada. The meeting lasted about 2hours and a half.

I've always maintained that it did not make ecomomic sense to haul the waste rock along wih the ore to the coast from Tuktu to for  processing... Now AEI s talking sense...

Thank you Shopkeeper for the update.  Very helpful.  We all know that the 15 year mine life from the FS was bare minimum and you want to get more years out of the mine in order for the NPV to be more fruitful. One thing for certain is that there is not a shortage of iron ore between RB and Tuktu...we are talking about a 140km banded iron formation.  With more drilling, it is very ...more

It seems a sensible and realistic presentation by Bernie Swarbrick. Main takeaways: * 1) If Roche Bay is to have a 20 to 30 year life span then more resources beyond the 501 million tonnes indicated must be established. A good amount of drilling will be required in 2013 or beyond to prove up a larger resource. It's a necessity for the economics of the project, currently very poor compared to ...more

Do you realize how many times you repeat they same thing over and over again.  Funny how for someone who doesn't own one single share of ADV that you keep bringing them up in the discussion?  Did you pick some shares today?  If ADV is such a great story and you just pointed out some great facts about it, what is stopping you from loading up?  You have to be nuts not to load ...more

AXI has a useless feasibility study. It's supposed to be a definitive bankable document. As in, you go to banks or steelmakers with the document and then ask for billions in finance. But AXI hasn't finished the necessary work. * Because AXI hasn't finished drilling their resource, and because it's still running an LNG scoping study, it hasn't completed exploration or mine ...more

A project description was submitted for Meadowbank in March 30th, 2003. The Project Certificate was issued by the NIRB, allowing mine construction to begin, in December 30th, 2006. That's 3 years and 9 months of environmental permitting.  * Meadowbank is currently the only operating mine in Nunavut. I think my estimate of 3 years is unrealistic. It looks like closer to 4 years of ...more

...and I explained to you why Baffinland was a 3 year wait...they must pay you big bucks in the US to keep you going on this board..

What about Meadowbank, Tahera Diamonds and every other mine that's been through the Nunavut Impact Review Board process? You don't have an explanation for why EVERY mine that's been through the Nunavut Impact Review Board permitting has experienced a 3.75 to 5 year process from initial registration to granting of the project certificate. Every single project. * Baffinland isn't an ...more
