Nothing seems to be helping - need that distrubution down. King was not on the C.Call - hopefully out finalizing a deal

There is no need to lower distribution. There is no capex, it's pass through investing into private companies. The distribution can be 100% and it's still fine (there will still be growth through resets). They have $140M to deploy + whatever they get back from their loans, they have no partners currently talking about selling/redeeming, they are making improvements on problem files. Last ...more

I should have said "they have no paying partners talking about selling/redeeming". The problem accounts are looking into it (like Group SM) as they should.

Ya the market loves companies with 100% payout ration. You just lost a whole yrs divy in ONE DAY

I didn't lose anything, the divy will still come in this year and in the next ten years and eventually the share price will be at 25+. The reason that payout usually needs to be lower than 100% is because when the company isn't an investment vehicle you need to allow cashflow to capex/maintenance. This is like an ETF, it's just not setup as an ETF. ETF's usually have 100% payout ...more

With the distribution at 8.96% at the current share price there will certainly be calls to reduce the distribution - the question is why would you do that?  The current payout ratio is 92.5% and this should improve in April as they expect the resumption of distributions from Kimco and an increase from SCR - about an extra 200,000 per month from the sounds of the conference call which would ...more
