I don't understand how this trades

Since falling to below 18 after results, which were not bad (no surprises), it has displayed the same behaviour for two weeks: up one day to $18.30 or so, then next back down to $18, on above average volume. It's like clockwork, irrespective of how the markets are doing. What surprises me is that is there hasn't been an uptick based on the fact that problem files have been resolved, and both kimco and SCR will be increasing their distributions. Seems like the poor result from SM is overshadowing everything else. I guess it will stay stuck in this range til Q1 results in early May. Nearly 3 years in the penalty box now.

I gave up a long time back as to why the stock trades the way it does. One will either go in depression or go crazy. Will not go brankrupt but the first two choices are pretty much guaranteed.  If they keep fixing the problem files and add good partners - the stock will come out of the doghouse and when it does everyone will jump in again including the momentum guys. I agree about chesswood. But the difference is that it responded positively to good results, where Alaris does not.

Have a look at seasonality to get a feel for how this will trade. When it jumps sell a portion of your holdings. When it drops out of the blue buy the dip. Repeat until you get your average price to a manageable level. Use technicals. It's the only way. We are into the third "U" dip of the past year; sooner or later it will jump again.
