Canadian sales in february

Sales were down overall as this was a short month but up 74% yoy. Daily avg sales were up. Ontario was the only province to show a slight month over month increase which is a good accomplishment in a short month. Also nice to see comments about better quality off premium cannabis helping to make inroads against illicit market. https://mugglehead.com/canadian-cannabis-sales-remain-steady-in-february-at-263m/ Babins notes that falling flower prices and increased quality in value products are drawing hold-out customers to the licit market. You get better bud for cheaper at legal stores, he says, plus you know it comes from a sanitary facility. A rise in senior spending and soccer moms replacing their nightly wine indulgence with an edible or two is also keeping sales steady at Evergreen, according to Babins.

All things we've forcasted months ago. Good refresher I suppose. I eluded many moons ago that the soccer moms would be transitioning from wine to edibles. The seniors, well no suprises there. Sales may have been slightly lower for Feb, and higher YOY, but that doesnt bear any indication to how individual LP's faired. We could be up 100% and it wouldnt show in the overall landscape ...more

Benic has some serious challenges here. Q1 and q2 wholesale shipments were significant. Even in q2 of last year medical and adult use sales were only 3 million combined. Wholesale was 6 million at 2.90/gram. I think at this timemail they would be happy to sell their adult use weed at those previous bulk wholesale prices. Theyou need to execute on their international sales and domestic adult use ...more
