AZX NR of 28 March 2018

Folks,
To clear up some potential confusion about this NR, the link below came from AZX website. The contact person for additional info is Ian Robertson, Exec VP, Com Strategy at Kingsdale. AZX has hire Kingsdale as their Adviser. Expect to hear more from Ian.

https://www.azx.ca/alexandria-minerals-sets-the-record-straight-on-eric-owens-termination-and-unauthorized-financing-scheme/

Some initial comments.
- scattering with lots of additional details, but
- not clear enough to decipher if the other offer(s) would be just from one company, or the best of several companies.
- The mysterious Mr. Palikrousis: was beneficiary of EO equity financing. Also brother of the recently terminated VP (guess who).
- There is a phase near the end of page 2: " While there can be no assurance that the company will pursue or execute any specific action, or transaction...." What does this mean?
(a) take EO to court in a counter suit?, (b) interim financing via PP, or accelerate wt exercise, for some small amount?

Her GH -- in reference to that phrase, I read it as negotiation 101. As there are negotiations on a potential number of fronts, you never show your hand to the other side. Keep it vague....keep the other side guessing. Jmvho. goldopp

goldopp, See also my reply to mal. Not asking to show our hand to the other side (like Mel Gibson playing poker in "Marverick"). It's fine to keep the other side guessing, but sometimes you would need to show that you can make an offensive play as well...Hope that our company is following Sun Tzu strategy, see "deception" on item 25, link to Forbes summary below. " While there can be no assurance that the company will pursue or execute any specific action, or transaction...." This is boilerplate leagal speak.  It has been at the end of any news release related to the special committee.   It is AZX appropriately covering its butt.  Can't read much of anything into it.

mal297, No problems with covering whatever that the company would need to cover, but... It would be more effective to give the other side some kind of signal about what the company is planning to do, in response to EO multiple offensive actions, including the latest court action. A direct shot across the bow, in the form of  a court filing on the illegal activities from the other side that ...more

Hey GH  --  first, I was unable to retrieve the article you wanted me to read.  I would have very much liked to have read it.  If you're able to maybe you could pm me a copy. Tks. Ok.  Alexandria IS making an "offensive" play, just not the the court action you want to see.....yet.   And they're doing it rather brilliantly imo.  Rather than ...more

goldopp, 1. You said: "Hey GH  --  first, I was unable to retrieve the article you wanted me to read.  I would have very much liked to have read it.  If you're able to maybe you could pm me a copy. GH said:   "Which article, the one on SunTzu, or Jekyll Island?" It was the one on Sun Tzu  --  the link you provided didn't list the Sun Tzu strategies.  Tks. ======== GH said: "Did the BoD already report some illegal activities to the OSC? Here's that repost (march 26 - 9:13 am) written by GH that I made reference to in my post this afternoon.  It's very informative.  Hope people have a chance to read it.  goldopp RE:Reserve Estimate GB&U, My previous post was not proof-read last night, hence there are some spelling errors. goldopp, the Sun Tzu reference was for a Forbes article by Eric Jackson, where he listed a summary of key items from Sun Tzu book, "The Art of War" which has been translated into English and other languages. There are variations in each translation, but the basic stuff is the same. It's a key book taught  in military academies...and business schools (it's the war out there ...more

The comments expressed and quoted in this post by goldopp are by and large accurate. The NR of 28 March is exactly accurate. I have spent weeks researching both sides of this. There is no other conclusion to draw, in summation, than that EO and his apparent henchmen/women (think MV) went rogue. What EO did was not merely bad business practise, it was in fact criminal. I would not be surprised in ...more
