Alexandria Minerals Corp is a Canadian based gold exploration and development company. Its project consists of Orenada, Akasaba, Sleepy, Manitoba and Ontario properties together with the Other Quebec properties. AZX SALE

If the rumours on the street are to be believed Probe had a deal going with Alexandria for app 12 cents per share. My belief is that Eldorado gold is watching all this going on and will not let Probe have this resource for $70 million. Eldorado is just getting started in Quebec and will likely be on the hunt for multiple properties over time. Their Lamaque deposit is very near Orenada and their property borders Alexandria. They just won their arbitration in Greece and
this is a compay with a $1 Billion market cap. They may have $600 million in debt but have $585 million in cash. They can buy Alexandria any way that suits them. I read that some investors say that they would not want Eldorados shares so all they need to do is sell them immediately after the sale as this small transaction for Eldorado in my opinion with not hurt the share price. We may have to wait for the court case with EO to be over beore any sale takes place but I believe we will not have to accept 12 cents for our shares. We have a great deposit
here and in one of the best juridictions in the world. JMO.

John Kaiser demonstrated he knew little about the AZX situation, so I'm not sure why some many investors are placing so much confidence in his "word on the street" nonsense. He didn't establish any credibility during that interview, where he mostly shared incorrect information and lazy opinions. NP

Hey magrath101 -- Agreed! I think many entities are not only watching, but have been strategically putting the final touches to their bids. The accumulation/distribution line is still at multi-month highs. Very, very bullish. Accumulate and wait. That's what smart money is doing. What we have now is akin to a real estate agent low-balling the price knowing full well that multiple bids will ...more

I must admit that the scenario described by NextPhase https://www.stockhouse.com/companies/bullboard?symbol=v.azx&postid=27860857 is probably the most likely scenario for AZX. Looking at the BoD for PROBE they are somewhat stronger and more focused than Eldorado BoD. With Agnico on the board of PROBE and Sprott Assest Management as top shareholder I doubt they will lack for funding ...more

I like Next Phases work and In this case I must respectfully disagree. At any rate in 5 weeks we should know. This will be a straight buyout by Agnico or Eldorado. Place your bets.GLTAL

Currower, I understand we all want the best deal possible, but we still need to be prepared for all possible scenarios. I like Next Phases work and In this case I must respectfully disagree. Disagree in what way?  This will be a straight buyout by Agnico or Eldorado.  I think these companies are all possibilities, but I'm not quite sure why you are 100% certain of ...more

Hey NP  --  thanks for your well-researched valuation #s  --  much appreciated.  The RE #s will give us a pretty good indication of alexandria's "true" valuation.   I put "true" in quotes because the market will be the final arbiter.   What may seem like low valuation #s expressed by many on this board (including me), are actually ...more

I understand that you are trying to point out all scenarios possible NP. I don't believe a Probe Alexandria merger is achievable in the current scenario given the principle players involved. The Abitibi gold camp is a special prize. If anyone thinks Sean Boyd and Eric Sprott are going to let David  Palmer or Eldorado walk away with a merged entity they are welcome to their opinion ...more

Currower, I'm confused. You first explain how you believe a Probe Metals and Alexandria merger is unachievable, but then talk about how Sean Boyd and Eric Sprott are quite capable of putting together Alexandria, Probe Metals, and QMX.  What do you mean by the following, "If anyone thinks Sean Boyd and Eric Sprott are going to let David Palmer or El Dorado walk away with a ...more

I am not dismissing David Palmer. I am sure he will be there. I am saying he will not have final say.  I am saying the control will be with Agnico and or Sprott. Osisko Royalties is also possibility. A major player will hold this entity. David Palmer will not control it. I also mean this will not be a merger of Probe and AZX engineered by Palmer and the AZX board. They will be merged ...more

Who says the courts have agreed to even hear the EO court case. Clarify.
Comment by mal297 on Apr 11, 2018 3:10pm
Awhile ago it was asked whether anyone had insight into the timelines of such cases in Ontario but I don't recall a response.   When can EO/AZX expect to hear a response back regarding EO's application?  Anyone know?

What are the chances of an all cash deal? Who could do that? I'd consider 15-16 CDN cents if that were the case.
Comment by RYUcan on Apr 11, 2018 5:10pm
First of all no way it is going to be under 20 cents. JMO from previous posts from the more knowledgeable posters on this board. Is it just me or did the last NR show a shift in the BoD/special commitee position on the value and amount of potential of this land package? There language seemed to change from let's get this done with or without data, to a better understanding that there is a high ...more

RYUcan, You have a keen eye for the shift in the language. This latest NR seems to send out a message that there are potentially a lot more Au along this trend and "adjacent" to the Cadillac Break. Figure 1 shows one of the "adjacent" zone, near the slip (near the RHS edge of the page). Note also many  fault lines at the other end including a large slip near hole AAX-18 ...more
