Well... they didn't do what they said they'd do, and that's file their year-end financial statements by October 22. Obviously there's difficulty in completing the audit although exactly why is subject to speculation. To be clear, the problem isn't with the auditors.AION has until October 29 to file and if they don't they'll be suspended from trading. And if that

If I read their October 12, 2021 release correctly, the CSE can impose a cease trade order tomorrow if their continuous disclosure documents (that were due October 22nd) aren't filed.

Here's what will happen if they don't file by tomorrow afternoon: they will absolutely be cease-traded premarket Monday morning.  As a point of clarification, October 22 was a company estimate of when they'd file, not a due-date from securities regulators.
