Own it, don't trade it
Everyone on this board has been saying Aphria was the best stock because we're profitable and have the largest market share... Now we combine to be the largest company in the world, acquire top notch 2.0 and CBD portfolio, expand into the US and Europe to compliment our strengths, and now the world has flipped on its head?
Every weakness Aphria had has been solidified by Tilray... People complain about Aphria being undervalued, well guess what, Tilray is also undervalued
You're complaining about stock conversion and 0.8381 to 1.00 conversions like it's insulting as an Aphria shareholder... You're missing the point of shares. They're not meant to be dollar for dollar, they are percentages of a company you own. This is a fantastic deal.

LOL Tilray is not a good company. Poor revenue, posts net losses every Q, a ton of debt (500M). You literally lose shares in this deal as it;s .83:1, but if you own CDN Aphria shares it's even lower. Only way this will be good for Aphria holders is if Tilray hits $15-20USD.

Jeez, it's almost like that's why the negotiations involved Simon becoming new CEO, Aphria having 7/9 board seats, saving 100 million dollars together, integrating operations, no cash involved in the transactions Do you think owning CAD vs. USD shares of Aphria changes the percentage of the company you own?

Go do some DD on Tilray balance sheet and financial and then come back and post your opinion again. Lol. SImon being the CEO only means, his salary is going to go way upppppppppp. Trust me the man is only in it for himself. Anyways, I am sure APHA will be fine. But this deal is not it. They should have merged with Canopy, lol.

I'm up 130% with Aphria while most people are down... I think I know that I'm doing. I was going to trim my postition 30% before January earnings but now I'm not selling anything before 2025... See you in four years :)

I bought APHA under a $1, whats your point.... Haha kidding, anyways everyone is entitled to their own opinion. APHA will do really well with this deal, but at the end of the day its not really a good deal, that's all i am saying.

Given how bullish you'd been, I thought you were at least 300% up.

Similar here, and January catalysts just got a whole lot more interesting as to where the SP might be by then...

Tilray produces weed at over $2.00 per gram while Aphria is $0.85... believe me, and check for yourself, the margins that are going to be made when Aphria's low cost pumps into Tilray's portfolio of 2.0 prodcuts which are high margin...

Let's put it this way: the deal is sure to dampen the enthusiam of those who've been dreaming about sky-high SPs. But it makes $14CAD/share much more achievable by early Jan. As for the self-serving nature of the deal, which is also a major damper to many long-time bulls, oh well, what else can you expect from King Irwin?
